Greetings and Happy St. Patrick's Day! It is starting out cold here in Chester County, PA but promises to be much warmer later today. The window treatments installation went great yesterday and I have many more, for a different client to install again today. On this day in 1756 St. Patrick's Day was first celebrated in New York City at the Crown and Thistle Tavern. The day is the national holiday of Ireland and celebrates it's patron Saint. It is celebrated also in many other countries but is not a national holiday. Don your green but remember that it wasn't until the 1750's that green was the representative color of this day, it was blue. The Chicago River is dyed green every year...that isn't algae! Anyway, I installed horizontal blinds yesterday and then had lunch with a dear friend who made green cookies and it was fun. Last night I helped my Dad transpose music into different keys and then finished folding laundry. Can you stand the excitement? Today promises to be a great day as well. It is Silhouette day and I will be installing 25 of them. Wish me luck. If you are Irish, please remember this: according to legend, on the day of Judgement, while Christ judges all other nations, St Patrick will be the judge of the Irish.
