Good day from another slightly rainy Chester County, PA. The weather didn't deter us from our morning walk in the park tho' and the temperature is unseasonably warm which we love. I received the beautiful decorative plates yesterday along with the bottle stoppers and new Robert Allen drapery weight sample books. If you are a Rutgers fan you probably already know this fact but on this day in 1869, Rutgers University defeated Princeton 6-4, in the first official intercollegiate football game. Yesterday in California Proposition 8 passed by a vote of 52.47% to 47.53%. Young voters overwhelmingly voted for Gay marriage while older voters, churchgoers and African Americans voted against gay marriages. Hmmmm. What are those churches teaching? Hopefully we won't start seeing separate water fountains popping up in public places! It was arguably easier back in the day to make Blacks drink from a different water fountain but sometimes you cannot tell if a person is a gay or a lesbian. You can always judge a person by their skin color! I think it is due time to pass a law requiring that gay men dye their skin pink and lesbians dye their skin purple and once and for all take a stand. Simply denying equal rights just isn't good enough. I tried to speak to a business associate regarding this but she couldn't wrap her brain around it and continued to push women's rights, diverting I guess because it wasn't all about her. So come on people, let's get it together. Well, let's get it more separated. I mean, the next thing you know we will have a Black person or a woman in the White House. Yikes. What would happen if they were purple or pink? Have a gr8 day. Oh yeah. Wallpaper, fabric, furniture, home fashions, yadda yadda yadda...
