The power of the sun...
It is a cool, sunny day in Chester County, Pa. The animals are out on the deck bathing in it. The sun tends to make things better, what with the energy it creates. The sun is also an aid in halting osteoporosis because it supplies the body with vitamin D. Frying in the sun is not a good idea, but we all know about moderation. Today's photo is a Sunburst Goldleaf Mirror that provides neither vitamin 'c' or 'd' but does do wonders for a wall. (My nephew's current favorite song is 'Wonderwall'). If you ever listen to the words, try then to imagine a 5 year old singing them perfectly and seemingly understanding the entire lyric. But I digress...The sun does do other things though and sometimes not great things. On this day in 1989 a solar flare from the Sun created a geomagnetic storm that affected micro chips, leading to a halt of all trading on Toronto's stock market. Oops. Anyway, the golden color of the sun pales only to the number of medals around American swimmer Michael Phelps neck today! Where are my sunglasses? Way to go Michael! I need to get going. The setting here at home is very nice, but I can't stay here all day. Almighty Isis, Power ON!
