Save The Best For Last...
Good (rainy, cloudy, fugly) morning! We have been spoiled here in Chester County with the sun, hot temperatures and clear skies for many days now. In the middle of the night a storm brewed, waking everyone in the household. It was tough sleeping once that began as a couple of storm-haters whined from under the bed. Not to worry tho', I have toothpicks. Yesterday was a lot of fun at work. The furniture that I ordered three weeks ago and was scheduled to be delivered this week has been, well, um...discontinued! The way that I learned this was by calling them to ask if Friday was the delivery day as I wanted to go to the shore again if at all possible. This industry ROCKS. I found a relacement style that works finishwise, sizewise and budgetwise. Why NOT do things twice? Those Graber LightWeaves Roll Shades arrived today and look very natural even though they are entirely fake, sort of like Joan Rivers...mostly plastic but great looking and long lasting. The carpeting and Black Runner, on the other hand, are available...at least for the moment. The only thing that is constant is change. With my luck the furniture replacement pieces will look better thasn the originals and the carpet will be installed in a timely fashion. I am delivering that area rug this afternoon and it is the last piece going in the room. Most do floorcoverings first but I am not 'most' and I saved the best acessory for last. Which brings to mind that song and on this day in 1984 Vanessa Williams became the first Miss America to resign when she surrendered her crown after nude photos of her appeared in Penthouse magazine. That realy did in her career. She then segued into a very successful recording career, worked in movies and in television and is still going strong today. Keep that in mind if ever YOUR photos get leaked onto the internet. It could be a career boost, depending of course, on how you look! 'Sometimes the snow comes down in June...lah de dee dah...' Have a great day everybody.
