Medal, Metal and Meddle...
Happy Saturday. It is again sunny, hot and beautiful. Last night was seafood night and no one was crabby. I mean it! Yesterday afternoon a handful of new people discovered my shop and no one left empty handed. They offered some kind words and poked around without being mettlesome. The 'pig'gy bank flew out of here, so when someone says to you "when pigs fly", you can tell them that it happened on July 11th, 2008 at approximately 4:15 pm. It makes me feel good accessory and retail-wise when I choose (with the help of NIK) items that people actually want to purchase. She deserves a medal. So does Amy Quinn, Realtor to the stars and a long time client. Speaking of medals, on this day in 1862 the Medal of Honor was authorized by the United States Congress. The Medal of Honor is the highest military decoration awarded by the United States government. Because of its nature, the medal is frequently awarded posthumously but I don't wish that on the two people mentioned here. Gold Scalloped Medal Mirrors are a thing of beauty to look at, and, depending on the person looking into it, can reflect beauty also! Red Metal Kitchen Canister Set is featured today, really pushing the pedal to the medal. Have a great weekend. I am now going to play with several taupe paints and pillows. How challenging! There are 443,235,543 taupes but I will find the correct one.
