...currency


Is it so important to be au courant? When it comes to the news, yes. Fashion, probably. But what about timless and classic? Since classic never goes out of style, maybe it is au courant also. Ahhh, currency. On this day in 1969 the United States $500, $1,000, $5,000 and $10,000 bills were officially withdrawn from circulation. I vaguely remember having a wallet filled with these denominations and then they became harder and harder to come by. Today's photo is as current as they come. Three cheers for family members posing in red, white and blue at the beach. Simply beautiful.
