...and the living is easy?

George and Ira gershwin / Dubose Heyward

Summertime and the livin' is easy

Fish are jumpin' and the cotton is high

Oh your daddy's rich and your ma is good lookin'

So hush little baby, don't you cry

One of these mornings

You're goin' to rise up singing

Then you'll spread your wings

And you'll take the sky

But 'till that morning

There's a nothin' can harm you

With daddy and mammy standin' by...

Do you remember the little girl from the somewhat memorable TV show 'Still Standing'? Here is her version of 'Summertime' at the ripe old age of 14. If it is raining there like it is here, I hope that it provides you some sun. Have a great day and...take it easy. Oh, by the way, on this day in 1913 Stainless Steel was invented. For those of you who bought that type of appliances, have fun cleaning it and keeping it spot free. That ain't as easy. Pictured are my 'Kawayan Bamboo Trays' for that Summertime pic-nic.
