Let's Be Frank...

It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood again on this Wednesday in Chester County. The fairgrounds opposite my shop are still bustling with activity, prepping for a five day stint of carnival rides and more. The fair is a fun way to financially assist the East Whiteland Fire Department so go and have a great time! Unless you live in the Netherlands. In that case I will write about it on here. Speaking of the Netherlands, on this day in 1947 The Diary of Anne Frank was published. It's a book based on the extracts from a diary written by Anne Frank while she was in hiding for two years with her family during the Nazi occupation of The Netherlands. Her family was apprehended in 1944 and Anne Frank ultimately died of typhus in the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp. After the war, the diary was retrieved by Anne's father, Otto Frank. Adapted to movie and television, this book is now considered one of the key texts of the Twentieth Century. Teal and Turquoise are still strong designwise and I have several fabrics pulled for a client's kitchen and bathroom. Some call it 'seaglass'.Robert Allen sure does. Fabricut has quite a few aqua sheer and semi-sheer offerings that are anything but ordinary and that keeps things fun. The combination of Teal and Chocolate Brown is definitely appealing. Even if your color scheme is neutral on neutral, buy a handful of toss pillows and give the room a new look. Late yesterday a client called to ask me to find a chest for her daughter. I have found 5 so far that will look great and will meet with her on Saturday. I'll post what has been decided next week. Have a great day.
