...'allowing' gays in the military

Although African Americans have participated in every major U.S. war, the battle for integration and for recognition of the accomplishments of black soldiers has been a slow process. It wasn't until after World War II that the U.S. armed forces became integrated, under a 1948 executive order by President Harry S. Truman. And here it is, 2010. Gays, please stay hidden! You do not have the same rights as NORMAL people! Defend your country, pay your taxes, stay on top of every responsibility as the normal people do, but please stop trying to be equal. 49 percent of the public think that gays are odd, so let's go with that. Do you realize that10 percent of U.S. adults, or 22.8 million people, say they largely follow a vegetarian-inclined diet? Between the 10 percent of people that are gay, (and it could be more) and the ten percent of people who are vegetarian, what is next ? Hell in a hand basket I say. I think that when a vegetarian wants to enlist in the military, it should be 'don't ask, don't tell.' How uncomfortable would it be if, let's say, at the mess hall when a roast beef is served? The military, and every other aspect of our civilization should be white, male, straight, 6' tall, 190 pounds, blond hair and blue eyes. This is America, isn't it?
"There is nothing impossible to him who will try." Alexander the Great ...who was gay.
