...where there's smoke

Hello. Someone in the neighborhood had a fire going last evening. The air was filled with the earthy scent of burning wood. The only one who didn't enjoy it was Prince due to his esophageal issues. The circle of life of a tree. Even in death it provides enjoyment. LB sent me a passage about mothers being the roots of trees that continue to nurture their progeny even after the tree itself has died. We go on and on, and each of us has a profound effect whether we are aware of it or not. Put that in your pipe and smoke it! On this day in 1908, New York City passed the Sullivan Ordinance, making it illegal for women to smoke in public, only to have the measure vetoed by the mayor. The mayor happened to be Joan Rivers, in her late 40's and was known to puff on a Marlboro on a regular basis. I have added new sofas and needlepoint/hook rugs to my website, both adding and removing color as current trends dictate. Not to worry tho'. Everything that I choose has a long shelf life. Have a great day, enjoy life and put out fires rather than stoking them.
