They're Here!!!!!!

Greetings! My great ex neighbors paid a visit yesterday and it was like they never left. Well, sort of. The boys are taller and more mature and the Mom hasn't changed a bit. It was great to see them and we had a fun evening. Not comparing their visit to what happened on this day in 1947 at all! but...Reports are broadcast that a UFO had crashed landed in Roswell, New Mexico. It is brilliantly beautiful today with the sun shining here in Chester County. I'd rather be at the beach or playing tennis but that trust fund check still hasn't arrived. What has arrived tho' is a brand new wallpaper book by Norwall entitled beautiful Flowers and the book is very well done. Why not hand some Leaf Splash Black Wallpaper in your Dining Room above the chair rail and really say something. EA had tooth work done yesterday so it is custard and wine for the duration of the meal week. That and a few Percodans. Last night we ended up going to Rocco's Pizza (hey Gordon) and it was great as usual. Today is supposed to be hot and this afternoon I am playing tennis with N. That should be fun. The State Of Independence...

Happy overcast Friday! It is sort of a day off and the plan is to go to Waterworld. We may not need to drive tho' to find water. That's okay. Rain or Shine, we are free to do what we choose. New neighbors moved into the development yesterday and as it turns out, one is a Vet! How utterly convenient. Not that we would take advantage but the comfort zone is there. Police, Vets, Technology wizards, Nurses, and an Interior Designer live here. We can handle any emergency just in this one Courtyard. As it is July 4th, we all know what happened on this day involving independence. In 1802 at West Point, New York the United States Military Academy opened. In 1827 Slavery was abolished in New York State. In 1862 Lewis Carroll told Alice Liddell a story that would grow into Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, in 1881 the Tuskegee Institute opened in Alabama, in 1886 the people of France offered the Statue of Liberty to the people of the United States, in 1946 after 381 years of near-continuous colonial rule, the Philippines is granted full independence by the United States, in 1950 first broadcast by Radio Free Europe. Those are just a handful of things that happened on July 4th. Can anyone think of anything else? If you are prepping food today, please keep in mind a rather Americana set of Red Kitchen Canisters that will keep things independent of bugs and humidity.

Not A Cloud In The Sky...

Greetings from Chester County, Pa. 'Top Of The World' comes to mind today as it is clear, sunny and beautiful. I priced and put out some new accessories yesterday in my shop, including PIGgy Banks, Rustic Wrought Iron pieces,vanity boxes and more. I need to take pictures of everything and that will happen in due time. I'd like to be able to hang the Domed Pot Rack but hesitate with the drop ceiling that I have here so it may remain on the floor. The birdhouses pictured feed more airborne beings who sometimes are near the top of the world. An early flight navigator was Amelia Earhart and navigator Fred Noonan who, on this day in 1937 disappeared over the Pacific Ocean while attempting to make the first equatorial round-the-world flight. Friends from CT are in the area and I will hang with them this evening. One is bound to a wheelchair due to extreme MS and continues to have a great attitude. If only HE could fly. Have a great day.

Zippers Are In...

Happy July! I'm not quite sure when June went but boy are my arms tired. ( *place drumkick here*). Saturday was great as was Sunday and Monday. Here it is Tuesday and I finished writing up my orders for furniture, fabrics and shades. There are a few backorders, but thankfully noting that needs to be cancelled and then re-selected. I call it the Suitable Bedroom but EW may have another name for it when it arrives (in three weeks or less.) Not every piece actually, because she bought a French Country Lightwood Armoire from me years ago. We just needed to find complimentary pieces that would provide more storage. And we did. I was surrounded by great people for the past several days and I constantly tell myself how lucky I am. H,P,R,E,CCCC,Nik,L,W,B,G,RKECR and on and on... I could go on and on but I won't. I am here to inform, not to bore. Camelback Sofas in Sand toned Chenille are a treat for the eye and for the tushie! Wait and see. I pictured the new Fleur de Lis Wall Sconce for all to view. I am still waiting on a price from an outfit for a more contemporary sconce and gosh Dongia'it, they have yet to reply. I'll get to the bottom of it. They should be more zippy in their replies or we will find something else. Speaking of zips, velrco closures and zippers are both in demand for pillows, chairseat cushions and verbose people. I digress. Zip it and keep blogging. On this day in 1963 ZIP Codes are introduced for United States mail. 1963! That is so recent and there wasn't even the internet so that must have been quite a feat to get all that mail to people. YIKES~! I'd better run.
